Jonas Dahlström and Rickard Grönkvist

Jonas Dahlström captures the beauty of everyday life by focusing on the graphic interplay of light and shadow, people and architecture. Through a minimalist approach, his imagery invites the viewer to reflect on the relationship between the urban environment and the human being.
Rickard Grönkvist, on the other hand, portrays the ordinary by accentuating and elevating its details. By utilizing color and diptych pairing, he transforms commonplace subjects into abstractions, offering us an opportunity to pause and perceive our surroundings differently.
In an artistic dialogue, both photographers convey their personal experiences of the urban space. Their expressions are partly contrasting, but unite in an effort to highlight the extraordinary qualities of everyday life.
